TECHNOLOGY

X-treme Smart Skiwear collects skiers' health data and sports performance via detachable sensors and then transmits the collected data to a smartphone via Bluetooth.

Function 1:

Accurately Track Indoor and Outdoor Location and Route

The sensors in the Smart Skiwear, including GPS and Bluetooth, can accurately track the skier's location and route outdoors and indoors. When skiing outside, skiers can set their route and range in advance using a mobile app. The Smart Skiwear will automatically alert them if they are off course or out of range.

Function 2:

Monitor Vital Signs in Real Time

The cuff of the Smart Skiwear contains a biosensor that detects the skier's vital signs and bodily functions, such as body temperature, heart rate, breathing and pulse, blood pressure, and electrical skin activity (EDA), through contact with the skin.

Function 3:

Recognize Physical Activities

Human activity recognition (HAR) is a new technology that enables the recognition of human activity through sensors and computer systems. Eight sensors with HAR technology are placed at Smart Skiwear. These sensors detect the skier's speed and movement and alert the skier by vibrating at different frequencies if the speed is too fast or if there is a movement error. For example, if the skier's centre of gravity shifts, the five sensors on the trousers can accurately identify and alert the skier in time. This technology assists in ski teaching, reducing the cost of learning to ski and meeting the needs of beginners to learn skiing efficiently.

Product Customisation

To meet the needs of different consumers, Smart Skiwear supports the customisation of functions. The basic series does not include the Sensors-Based HAR function, while the safe series offers a combination of this function with one other feature. The Smart Skiwear-Pro series includes all the developed functions for the ultimate skiing experience.
